In a
near-future world
of
technobureaucracy
and
ultraconformity,
where human
contact is
abhorrent and
passion unheard
of,
quick-tempered,
questioning
William Fowke is
already branded a
troublemaker.
And now he insists
the Wall - the
engineering marvel
that extends
America's East
Coast far into the
Atlantic Ocean -
is leaking.
Convicted of
sedition and
'excluded', Fowke
begins an
horrific, yet
blackly comic,
odyssey through a
nether world of
gulags.
Everyone except
agent Julia
Keller, who
arrested him, is
hostile - even his
fellow prisoners -
leaving Fowke
excluded even by
the
excluded.
And desperate to
get back to his
threatened Wall
